Collaboration Between Institutions and Student Organizations for Outstanding FISIP

Karanganyar, February 16, 2023 - The student organizations of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at UPN Veteran Yogyakarta held a leadership training activity on February 16th to 17th, 2023 in Tawangmangu. This event aimed to strengthen the competencies of student organizations in implementing work programs and managing budgets provided for them.

In her opening remarks, the Dean of FISIP, Dr. Machya Astuti Dewi, M.Sc., emphasized the importance of collaboration between student organizations and the Faculty for the advancement of FISIP. She stated that student organizations are not oppositional entities but should be partners in efforts to improve the quality and achievements of FISIP.

The event featured various important topics that would enhance the participants' leadership skills and organizational abilities. The topics covered included government relations, public speaking, negotiation, and conflict resolution. With the knowledge and skills gained from this event, it is hoped that the participants can become effective leaders and contribute positively to the campus and wider community.

This leadership training is one of the efforts by FISIP UPN Veteran Yogyakarta to support the formation and development of student leadership potential. Through this activity, it is hoped that high-quality leadership cadres can be created, capable of facing future challenges.
