Greetings to esteemed lecturers, academic staff, and students,
Assalamu'alaikum Wr. Wb, May Peace Be Upon Us All, Om Swastiastu, Namo Buddhaya, Greetings of Virtue.
Today, I would like to invite all of us to reflect upon and together address the challenges posed by the disruptions of globalization and technological advancements in the rapidly changing world of the new normal era.
As we know, the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly transformed the world. It has forced us to adapt to rapid changes and leave behind old ways of conducting daily activities. We have entered a new era, the era of the new normal, where life, business, and education operate in a different environment.
In the new normal era, competition becomes more intense and dynamic. The challenges faced by professionals and graduates will become increasingly diverse. Therefore, as the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, we have the responsibility to prepare our students to face these competitions.
First and foremost, we need to strengthen digital literacy and technological skills. These skills have become crucial as many activities are conducted online. Our students must have the ability to adapt quickly to technological changes and utilize them for academic activities, research, and collaborations.
Second, we need to enhance critical thinking, creativity, and innovation. In the new normal era, changes happen rapidly, and creative solutions become highly valuable. Our students need to be trained as critical thinkers, capable of facing challenges with innovative solutions, and possessing the ability to adapt to changes.
Third, we need to reinforce interpersonal and collaborative skills. In the new normal era, teamwork and collaborative abilities are increasingly important. Our students need to be able to work in diverse teams, have effective communication skills, and adapt to different environments.
Lastly, we must not forget the importance of ethics and strong values. Amidst the intensifying competition, we need to maintain academic and professional integrity. Our students must be trained to become responsible leaders with a high level of social awareness.
As the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, we are committed to providing relevant and high-quality education to our students. We will continue to develop an adaptive curriculum, strengthen collaborations with industries and communities, and provide a holistic learning experience.
Thank you for your attention and dedication, everyone. May we together achieve a bright future and make meaningful contributions to our society and the world.
Wassalamu'alaikum Wr. Wb.
