FISIP UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta Establishes Formal Collaboration with FPSL Burapha University

On the 14th of September 2023, the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta ceremoniously executed a Memorandum of Agreement alongside the Dean of the Faculty of Political Science and Law (FPSL) of Burapha University, situated in Chonburi, Thailand. A mutual understanding was reached between the two entities to engage in collaborative efforts within the "Tridharma" of Higher Education, encompassing the Education and Teaching, Research, and Community Service. This collaborative initiative is conducted under the auspices of the agreement established by the Forum of Deans of Social Sciences in Indonesian State Universities (FORDEKIIS) and Burapha University.

Preceding this formal agreement, a joint International Conference transpired between FORDEKIIS and FPSL Burapha University, themed "Challenges and Opportunities of Social and Political Sciences in the Future." The conference featured distinguished keynote speakers, including the Dean of FPSL Burapha University, Vichien Tansirikongkhon, the Chairman of FORDEKIIS, Prof. Andy Fefta Wijaya, Dr. Achmad Zubir Ibrahim from Universiti Utara Malaysia, and Prof. Shamsul Haque from the National University of Singapore. Meanwhile, the Dean of FISIP UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, Dr. Machya Astuti Dewi, M.Si., and the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at FISIP UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, Dr. Hastho Joko Nur Utomo, M.Si., assumed roles as distinguished panel speakers.

Moving forward, the collaborative endeavors with FPSL Burapha University Thailand are anticipated to expeditiously materialize through meticulously structured programs. Among the academic disciplines poised to actively engage in these international initiatives is the Business Administration Study Program at FISIP UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta. Notably, in the year 2024, this program is slated to implement comprehensive student exchange and faculty exchange initiatives, thereby fostering a robust framework for international academic collaboration.
