FISIP UPN Veteran Yogyakarta Declares Integrity Zone Development and Strengthens Commitment to Corruption-Free Services

Yogyakarta, February 2nd 2026 — On Monday, University of Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Yogyakarta’s Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) formally began the Integrity Zone (ZI) Development towards a Corruption-Free Zone (WBK). University administrators, members of the academic community, students, and other relevant stakeholders attended this event, which took place at Seminar Room, Agussalim Building.

The Vice Rector II for Planning, Finance, and General Affairs, Dr. Ir. Sutarto, M.T., and the Chairman of UPN Veteran Yogyakarta's Internal Supervision Unit (SPI), Dr. Sutoyo, S.E., M.Si., represented the university leaders in attendance. In order to support efforts to improve clean and integrity governance and reform the bureaucracy, all FISIP lecturers, education staff, student representatives, and external stakeholders were also present.

Dr. Susanta, M.Si., the Dean of the Faculty, opened the occasion by highlighting the Faculty's commitment to achieving professional, open, and responsible public services. The Dean expounded on FISIP AKSI as the motto of Faculty’s service, which stands for Anti-Gratification Struggle, Synergy, and Innovation. The motto serves as the cornerstone of all FISIP academics' principles and work ethic in fostering the success of bureaucratic reform and creating an environment free from corruption.

"The motto of FISIP AKSI is not only a slogan, but also a guideline for attitudes and behaviors in providing educational services with integrity and oriented towards public satisfaction," stated the Dean.

Additionally, the Vice Chancellor II of UPN Veteran Yogyakarta gave a speech in which he expressed gratitude for FISIP's initiative as the first faculty at UPN Veteran Yogyakarta to declare the implementation of the Integrity Zone Development. On the same occasion, the Chairman of SPI (Satuan Pengawas Internal/Internal Supervisory Unit) UPN Veteran Yogyakarta stressed the significance of internal oversight, setting an example of leadership, and encouraging active engagement from all organizational components in preserving the institution's integrity.

 

 

The main event of the declaration was marked by the reading of the Corruption-Free Service Proclamation carried out by the Dean of FISIP together with the Vice Deans. The activity continued with the introduction of the Role Model, consisting of the Dean, the Heads of Departments (Dr. Humam Santoso Utomo, M.AB., Dr. Ida Wiendijarti, M.Si, and Aryanta Nugraha, M.A., PhD), and the Head of the Administration Section of FISIP (Sukistiasih, S.Sos.), Change Agents from representatives of lecturers in three departments (Asep Saepudin, M.Si., Dr. Ida Susi Dewanti, M.Si,  and Arika Bagus Permana, M.A.) and education staff (Dra. Dwi Ratnasari, M.M), as well as representatives of six Area Managers in the Integrity Zone Development Team (PZI) FISIP UPN Veteran Yogyakarta. The determination of Role Models, Change Agents, and Area Managers is expected to be able to be a driving force for change in work culture and an example of integrity within FISIP.

The main event was highlighted by the reading of the Corruption-Free Service Declaration carried out by the Dean of FISIP jointly with the Vice Deans. The activity continued with the introduction of the Role Model—consisting of the Dean, the Heads of Department, and the Head of the Administration Section of the Faculty, Agents of Change from representatives of lecturers in three departments and education staff, as well as representatives of six Area Managers in the Integrity Zone Development Team (PZI) of the Faculty. It is anticipated that Role Models, Change Agents, and Area Managers would be able to set an example of integrity within the Faculty and act as a catalyst for work culture aiming towards the betterment.

The series of activities was closed with the signing of the Integrity Pact by all lecturers and education staff of FISIP UPN Veteran Yogyakarta as a form of joint commitment in supporting the development of the Integrity Zone and the eradication of corruptive practices.

The UPN Veteran Yogyakarta institution's core values—the fighting spirit, creativity, and patriotism—were taken into consideration when choosing the FISIP AKSI motto. Through this declaration, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UPN Veteran Yogyakarta asserts its position as a pioneer in strengthening integrity and bureaucratic reform at the faculty level, as well as being an example for other faculties within UPN Veteran Yogyakarta.
