Yogyakarta, October 31, 2025 – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta officially signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Universitas Sahid Surakarta.
The signing ceremony took place on Friday, October 31, 2025, at the FISIP Dean’s Meeting Room, Agus Salim Building, 2nd Floor, UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta campus.
This agreement marks a concrete step for both faculties in strengthening their synergy in implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education—which includes education and teaching, research, and community service. The collaboration is expected to open wider opportunities for joint activities such as faculty and student exchanges, collaborative research, academic seminars, scientific conferences, and community engagement programs.
In his remarks, Dr. Susanta, M.Si., Dean of FISIP UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, expressed hope that this cooperation would not stop at the signing stage but would continue with concrete and meaningful activities that enrich both institutions.
“We hope this partnership will lead to more collaborative initiatives under the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. These activities should not only provide academic benefits for lecturers and students but also bring a positive impact to the wider community,” said Dr. Susanta.
Meanwhile, representatives from FISIP Universitas Sahid Surakarta warmly welcomed the partnership as a strategic opportunity to broaden academic networks between universities, especially in the fields of social and political sciences, which play a crucial role in community development.
The signing ceremony was attended by faculty leaders from both universities and took place in a cordial and collaborative atmosphere. Moving forward, the two faculties are committed to realizing various joint programs aligned with their shared vision to strengthen education, research, and community engagement in the era of globalization and digital transformation.
