All Study Programs at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, Earn International Accreditation from FIBAA

Yogyakarta — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta has reached an important milestone in its journey toward internationalization. All study programs within the faculty have officially received international accreditation from the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA), an international quality assurance agency based in Bonn, Germany. The accreditation is valid until June 2029.

This achievement marks a strategic step for FISIP UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta in strengthening its global competitiveness and ensuring academic quality in line with international standards. FIBAA is recognized worldwide for its comprehensive assessment of curriculum design, teaching and learning processes, quality assurance systems, management, and the relevance of graduates’ competencies to the needs of the global workforce.

The successful attainment of this international accreditation is the result of the collective dedication and hard work of the entire academic community—faculty members, administrative staff, and students. The FIBAA accreditation serves as a formal acknowledgment that all study programs within FISIP UPNVY meet international quality benchmarks. More importantly, it provides strong motivation for the faculty to continuously enhance the quality of teaching, research, and community service.

With this accomplishment, all study programs under FISIP—Bachelor of Communication Science, Bachelor of Public Relations, Master of Communication Science, Bachelor of International Relations, and Bachelor of Business Administration—are now internationally recognized and comparable in quality to similar programs at leading universities worldwide. The FIBAA accreditation also reflects the faculty’s readiness to expand international collaborations, student exchange programs, and academic mobility among lecturers and researchers.
